DeshConnect had to feel like a trusted companion, not another barrier.

Many Bangladeshi immigrants work long hours abroad, juggling unfamiliar technology with limited to no literacy, and the constant stress of staying connected to family back home. Most travel and finance apps are cluttered, text-heavy & built for global travelers, not keeping this user base in mind.

My Approach

I focused on reducing friction, cognitive load, and unnecessary decisions. Every flow had to be linear, every button obvious, and every screen language-adaptable, because clarity builds trust.

The flight booking experience was built to eliminate complexity, no typing, no clutter, just a few clear taps to get home. It’s fast, visual, and simple enough for anyone to use without second-guessing.

Smart route selection & Simplified trip setup

Users don’t need to type anything or guess airport names, just a few taps and their trip is ready. They choose whether they’re flying internationally or within Bangladesh, select their destination visually, and the app handles the rest. It’s fast, intuitive, and feels like it was designed specifically for them.

The booking process is stripped of distractions

Users see the total price upfront, no hidden fees or fine print, alongside essential flight details like baggage allowance and duration. Add-ons such as seat selection, extra bags, and meals are organized in a single, easy-to-scan panel.  making it simple enough to complete in under three minutes, even for first-time users.
